About the Conference
ETAADAC hosts a 3 day conference designed to provide some of the necessary training needed for an individual to become a competent and qualified licensed counselor. ETAADAC believes this benefits the client, the counselor, and the organizations that provide addiction treatment.

Counselor of the Year Award - In Honor of Catherine S. Scarlett
This award is given to a LADAC counselor who provides direct A&D counseling services and demonstrates a strong ability to positively impact patients, systems, and the A&D counseling profession.
Professional of the Year Award - In Honor of Henry H. Ashe
This award is given to individuals who have, in the last year, made a significant contribution to the field of alcoholism and drug abuse treatment through education, prevention/community awareness, research, program development, or patient service delivery.
Lifetime Achievement Award - In Honor of Lea Acuff
Nominees may or may not be members of ETAADAC and have demonstrated fifteen (15) years of counseling and/or administration in the substance abuse treatment field while exemplifying a strong dedication to the profession through their demonstrated commitment and activity in local organizations and projects.
